IT Advice & Hardware Selection

The right tool for the right job. Without unnecessary costs.

Every business owner has at some point bought a laptop because the salesperson said it was a good one. Or purchased software that nobody ends up using. At Menten IT you receive independent advice no preferred supplier and no hidden agenda.

We provide independent IT advice to businesses in Willebroek, Mechelen, Boom, Puurs, Lier, Antwerp and the surrounding area.

IT Advice

Does this sound familiar?

Three short scenarios that occur at almost every SME.

Scenario 1

The expensive laptop that does too much

Your accountant has a laptop worth €1,800 that they use for Excel and email. Half the specs are never used. You overpaid by €800.

Scenario 2

The cheap laptop that does too little

Your graphic designer works on an entry-level model that freezes with every large file. Lost time every day, frustration and ultimately a costly replacement.

Scenario 3

Software nobody uses

You pay monthly for tools your employees have not opened for months. Nobody has ever taken the time to evaluate what is actually needed.

Menten IT helps you make the right choices before you buy.

What we do for you

Independent, tailored advice.

Tailored hardware advice

We map out what every employee does on a daily basis and which hardware suits that. You pay for what is needed, not for what looks impressive.

Laptops and desktops

Which brand, which processor, how much RAM we translate technical specs into understandable recommendations. Including comparison of models and prices.

Workspace setup and peripherals

A well-equipped workspace starts with the right layout. We advise on monitors, docking stations, keyboards and headsets that suit your way of working.

Second opinion on an IT quote

Have you received a quote from an IT supplier and are unsure whether it is fair? We review the quote critically and give you an honest picture: what is realistically priced, what is missing and where the pitfalls are.

Which laptop for which role?

A simple guideline per profile.

Profile What is needed What is not needed
Administration & accounting Good SSD, 16GB RAM, long battery life Powerful GPU, gaming specs
Field service & sales Light and compact, robust, 4G option Large screen, powerful processor
Graphic & creative Powerful GPU, colour-accurate screen, 32GB RAM Compactness, long battery
Business owner & management Reliable, fast, good security Maximum specs
Reception & front desk Fixed desktop or all-in-one, large screen Mobility
Technical & IT Powerful processor, plenty of RAM, SSD Few exceptions

This is a general guideline. During the advice session we look at your specific situation.

How an advice process works

Step by step, without obligations.

Step 1: Intake meeting

1-hour consultation

We ask questions about your team, your way of working and your budget. Who does what? What problems are you experiencing now? What do you want to avoid?

Step 2: Analysis and report

Concrete advice on paper

We draw up an overview of your current situation and concrete advice with recommended devices, specifications and price ranges. Including a comparison of at least two options per profile.

Step 3: Discussion

Without obligation

We go through the report together. You ask questions, we explain. No obligation to buy or do anything.

Step 4: Purchase and configuration

Optional, hourly rate only

Would you like us to assist with the purchase or configure the devices? That is possible. You only pay the hourly rate for configuration and guidance.

Buying the right hardware starts with asking the right questions.

We help you ask those questions before you make a decision, not after. Free introductory meeting of 1 hour, without obligations.
